Kuwait recorded 683 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, which raises the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 33,823, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

A total of 1,126 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 23,288.
Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 275 after two people died due to complications from COVID-19.
Some of the new cases are of people who had direct contact with previously infected individuals, the ministry said.
Kuwaitis make up 274 of the new cases, Indians make up 130, Bangladeshis make up 58, and Egyptians make up 51 of the infections.
