Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia total COVID-19 cases reach 298,542 as recovery rate hits 89

Saudi Arabia has confirmed a total of 298,542 total coronavirus cases as of August 16 as the recovery rate hit 89 percent, according to the latest numbers reported by the health ministry.

The total number of recoveries reached 266,953 as the death toll climbed to 3,408, health ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed al-Abd al-Ali said during a press conference.

The Kingdom’s health authorities have conducted over 4 million tests since the virus was first detected in the country.
