Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia’s new COVID-19 cases steady as recoveries increase

Saudi Arabia records a steady increase of 1,372 new coronavirus cases as the total number of recoveries reached 268,385, the health ministry announced on Monday.

Of the new cases, 73 were detected in the city of Hafouf, 65 in Hail and 64 in Mecca, according to the health ministry.

Despite the total number of cases reaching 299,914, the Kingdom’s death toll remains relatively low at 3,436 after 28 fatalities were reported.

The health ministry confirmed that 28,093 cases remain active in Saudi Arabia as of August 17.
