Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia detects 816 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths in 24 hours

Saudi Arabia detected 816 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 317,486, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

Medina reported the highest number of new cases, with 45 infections in the last 24 hours. Hail recorded 45 new cases, the capital Riyadh recorded 44 new cases, and Jeddah recorded 43 new cases.

The other infections were confirmed in cities and provinces across Saudi Arabia.

Twenty-seven people died due to complications caused by COVID-19, which raises the virus-related death toll in the country 3,956.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in Saudi Arabia rose to 292,510 after 996 people recovered from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
