A group of young protesters walked through a store in Florida calling for residents to “take off your masks,” as the coronavirus pandemic continued to rip through the United States, a video shared on social media showed Tuesday.

“We’re not gonna do it anymore. Take it off, take off your mask,” one of the protesters told a shopper at the local Target store.

Al Arabiya English counted nine protesters, including what appeared to be young children, as they shouted and ran through the store.

The person recording the video referred to the protesters as “[expletive] idiots.”

There has been an increased division among Americans who refuse to wear a face mask as the coronavirus pandemic continues to take thousands of lives a day across the globe.

US President Donald Trump has been seen wearing a facemask only a handful of times, while Democrats have called for a nationwide implementation of a policy to demand facemasks.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been 195,053 coronavirus-related deaths in the US. At least 6,571,867 total cases have been recorded, with the latest figures showing an increase in 34,240 new cases since Tuesday.
