Abu Dhabi DCT released a list of guidelines governing spas at 5-star hotels on Friday.
The new guidelines include mandatory face masks for both guests and staff members, with staff also required to wear plastic face shields over their masks and gloves while performing treatments.
Hotels must also install thermal cameras or infrared thermometers at main entrances to take guests’ temperature. Any guest found to have a temperature of 37.3C or above must be escorted to an isolation room and checked further.
Anyone displaying flu-like symptoms is not allowed to enter the hotel.
Abu Dhabi has reopened to international travelers but they are required to quarantine for 14 days and must wear an electronic tracking bracelet, according to the latest update released by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on Thursday.
Any buildings where people are quarantining in Abu Dhabi must display a notice warning the public, added Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) on Friday.
