Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia detects increase in COVID-19 cases with 501 infections

Saudi Arabia detected an increase in coronavirus cases as it recorded 501 infections on Wednesday, according to the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health.

The health ministry also reported 481 recoveries and 21 deaths. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 340,590, and the total number of recoveries to 326,820.

The death toll rose to 5,108.

Of the new cases, the city of Medina recorded 57 COVID-19 cases, Mecca had 47 cases, and Riyadh had 42.

The number of active cases in the Kingdom stands at 8,662. 830 of those are critical cases.
