The UAE on Friday recorded 1,196 new COVID-19 cases, 694 recoveries, and five virus-related deaths, the Ministry of Health reported.
Yesterday, the emirates reported a similar number of new cases. Over the last 24 hours, UAE health care workers have conducted 163,352 tests.

The country's total case count now stands at 182,601 and virus-related deaths recorded total 607. Total recoveries number 162,435.
This week, the UAE approved the use of the Sinopharm vaccine to prevent the novel coronavirus.
The vaccine was has been tested on around 31,000 people in the UAE and was approved for emergency use for frontline workers in September.
