Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia detects 181 new COVID-19 cases, eight deaths

Saudi Arabia detected 181 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 361,359, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.

The capital Riyadh reported the highest number of infections with 64 cases. Mecca reported 36 infections and the Eastern Province reported 31 new infections.

The other cases were recorded in cities and provinces across the Kingdom.

Eight people died due to complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the virus-related death toll in the country to 404, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries climbed to 52,249 after 160 people recovered from the coronavirus.
