The United Arab Emirates on Sunday reported 1,590 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 213,231, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The UAE also reported 1,609 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 289,709.
The death toll rose by five to 679.

The UAE conducted 125,232 tests in 24 hours, WAM reported.
On Saturday, the UAE detected its highest number of new coronavirus cases since the outbreak began in December 2019, with the health ministry reporting 1,963 new infections.
