UAE reports 3,591 coronavirus cases after conducting 140,477 tests

The United Arab Emirates on Monday reported 3,591 new coronavirus cases after conducting 140,477 tests in the past 24 hours, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The total number of cases rose to 281,546.

The number of COVID-19 recoveries rose by 3,820 to 255,304.

On Monday, WAM reported six deaths, bringing the death toll to 798.

Last week, the UAE approved Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use, the county’s NCEMA announces.

“After the results of its effectiveness, and in triggering a strong antibody response against #Covid19 virus, #UAE approves Russia’s Sputnik vaccine for emergency use,” the NCEMA said in a tweet.
