mquest Entertainment MFZE and Country Club will be hosting the second annual International Kite Festival in the UAE on Friday, local media reported.
The event has been highly anticipated by kite flying enthusiasts from around the world, some of the best kite flying teams will travel to Dubai from Kerala and Mangalore in India, Sri Lanka and Kuwait, according to ameinfo.com.
Kites of a variety of shapes, sizes and colors will be on display at the event, which will be held at the Dubai Outlet Mall. It is expected to attract 10,000 visitors.
Spectators will be able to purchase kites at the event and attend kite-building and flying work-shops.
This is to be followed by a special kite exhibition in which experts will give a brief presentation on kite construction, the materials used to create a kite as well as other useful tips for aspiring kite flyers.
The event includes a children’s play area, food court and a DJ who will entertain crowds throughout the day as well as a performance from the popular “Dubai Drums” group.
