Think tank IISS convenes panel in Abu Dhabi

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in conjunction with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi will convene a panel discussion Sunday evening in the UAE’s capital entitled “Geopolitical Risks and Geo-Economic Opportunities.”

According a press release received by Al Arabiya News, the panel discussion will feature leading IISS experts: Danjaya Baru, Director for Geo-Economics and Strategy; Pierre Noel, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah senior fellow for economic and energy security;Emile Hokayem, senior fellow for regional security; and Samuel Charap, senior fellow for Russia and Eurasia.
Sten Anders Berge, Norway’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, will deliver opening remarks for today’s discussion.

This panel discussion serves as the IISS Middle East headquarters’ preparatory framework for The 11th IISS Global Strategic Review (GSR).

Founded in the UK, IISS focuses on topics such as nuclear deterrence and arms control.
