Saudi police officer shot dead after alcohol factory raided

Saudi police officer Hazam Bin Moussa al-Bariqi was shot dead on Friday when the police raided an alcohol factory in the southwestern Asir region.

According to a police statement, security patrols had received a report that there were unidentified African drug dealers selling alcohol in the region.

The statement added that when the policemen attempted to arrest the suspects, they came under fire, which led to Bariqi’s death.

The police arrested one of the suspects.
