Yemen’s legitimate army, with the support of the Arab Coalition, took control of the al-Shabaka Mountain in the city of Hajjah, and succeeded in cutting off supply routes of Houthi militias between the Harad district, Hajjah and Saada.

A Special Forces brigade of the Yemeni army was able to retake the mountain, which is the last of the Abu-Nar mountain range and overlooks Harad. The mountain is considered an important strategic location and includes several Houthi supply routes.

The head of the Special Forces brigade, Colonel Mohamed al-Hajoury, told Al Arabiya that the army was able to cut off the supply route between Harad and Saada after fierce battles on Saturday, which also resulted in the death of dozens of Houthis.

The Special Forces, with the support of the Arab Coalition, also succeeded in liberating locations in Baqem, north of Saada, where Houthi militias had created bases.
