A coalition made up of Arab and African countries has launched a campaign in European countries to uncover Qatar’s human rights violations against prisoners of conscience and foreign workers in the nation.

The coalition consists of the African Organization for Human Rights Culture along with the Arab Organization for Human Rights in the UK and Europe, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council rights and freedoms association, a statement obtained by Al Arabiya has said.

A representative of the coalition, Samah al-Sayed, explained that there will be an awareness campaign to reveal to citizens and organizations in European countries the “systematic” violations committed by the Qatari authorities.

The statement said it will reveal the Qatari authorities’ human rights violations against prisoners of conscience, local tribes that it had withdrew their nationality, as well as the deteriorating living situation of foreign laborers working on construction projects in preparation for the 2022 World Cup.

It will also uncover how the Qatari authorities fund global terrorism.

The coalition will demand the release of all prisoners of conscience in Qatar, and the return of the withdrawn nationalities to local tribes.

It will also demand the cessation of all torture practices in Qatari detention centers, and stripping them from hosting the 2022 World Cup.
