The United Nations envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths said on Wednesday that the Geneva talks on Yemen may be delayed for some time but will eventually take place.

Griffiths said during a press conference that he hoped to re-launch a political process leading to a resolution into the conflict in Yemen, stressing that he seeks to re-activate the peace process and build confidence between the parties.

“We have an opportunity to make progress towards a solution in Yemen,” he said, noting that the release of prisoners is among the most important confidence-building measures, and that there was no military solution to the crisis in Yemen.
