Video: FSA seizes helicopters, armored vehicles at Menegh air base

Several of the 22 helicopters at the Menegh military airport were destroyed by bombings during a battle between the Free Syrian Army and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

The free army plans to refurbish broken aircrafts and tanks to use against Assad’s forces.

The free army gained majority control at the Menegh military airport, according to a statement on Tuesday.

Office buildings and surveillance radar are the last remaining sectors under control of Assad’s forces.
All combative resources which were at the military airport now belong to the Free Syrian Army.

Everything from armored vehicles to helicopters have been seized by the free army.
