Saudi king, Sudan president discuss bilateral ties

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks on Wednesday with the visiting president of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

According to the state-run agency, the two met at the Saudi king’s palace, where they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields “as well as the developments on regional and international arenas.”

Those attending the talks included Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the governor of the Riyadh region; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the national guard minister and Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the deputy crown prince.

According to the SPA, King Salman held a banquet in honor of Bashir.

King Salman has been welcoming heads of states since January after the passing of his predecessor, Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
