The Iran-backed Houthi militias are storing ammunition and weapons in residential areas, the spokesperson of the Saudi-led anti-Houthi coalition forces said Thursday.

Speaking to reporters in Riyadh, Saudi Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri said: “We call on Yemenis to not allow [Houthis] to store ammunition in between their homes.”

The coalition air strikes are being coordinated among all parties, said Asiri.

The Saudi-led “Operation Decisive Storm” is now targeting military camps linked to those Yemeni soldiers opposed to the legitimate President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi.

The coalition has also targeted military cannons used by Houthi militias near the Strait of Mandab.

Communication between Houthi leaders in the capital Sanaa and Saada has been cut off, added the spokesperson who also revealed that several Houthi groups are now isolated and are facing difficulties in obtaining supplies.

The Saudi spokesman also confirmed that the ongoing clashes between Houthis and Popular Resistance forces allied with President Hadi in Aden are persistent.

On the topic of Iranian support, Asiri reiterated that Houthis militias have been receiving support from Tehran since their founding.
