A two-year-old Palestinian boy has died after his house caught on fire in the town of Beitin in Ramallah as authorities investigate the cause.

The boy’s death comes as Israeli firefighters kept battling the flames in wooded hills around Jerusalem and in northern areas on Friday, with support from Palestinian firemen and emergency teams from Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Russia and Turkey.

Israeli police have arrested 13 people on suspicion of arson as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he has accepted additional help from Egypt and Jordan.
