What did Syria’s envoy lie about at the UN?

The Syrian envoy to the United Nations Bashar Jaafari used pictures taken in Iraq, claiming it to be in Syria's Aleppo at the UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday.

He claimed the pictures were of Assad’s soldiers assisting civilians, when it was later discovered that the pictures were published in Iraqi newspapers last year.

This is not the first time Jaafari made claims contrary to reality.
