Kuwait orders 30 Airbus Caracal helicopters from Airbus

Kuwait placed an order worth more than 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) for 30 Caracal helicopters from Airbus Group, the French defence ministry said.

The contract was signed on Tuesday by Kuwaiti defence ministry officials in the presence of French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, the ministry’s statement said. The aircraft are destined for the Kuwaiti army and national guard.

Airbus Helicopters could not immediately be reached for comment.
