Bahrain set to host IISS Middle East conference

Bahrain is set to host an International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) conference between April 6 and 8, to discuss ‘Trade and Flag: The Changing Balance of Power in the Multinational Trading System’.

Participants at the conference, organized by the IISS Geo-economic and Strategy Research Program, include HRH Prince Khalid Bin Saud Al Faisal, director of Partnership and External Relations, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Saudi Arabia; HE Kamal Bin Ahmed, minister for Transport in Bahrain and Pascal Lamy and Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, former directors-general of the World Trade Organization.

“The IISS Geo-economics and Strategy conferences at the IISS-Middle East Centre in Manama have been attracting world and industry leaders and scholars with an interest in business, economics and international affairs to Bahrain,” Dr. Sanjaya Baru, Director for Geo-economics and Strategy, IISS said.
