Bechtel: Building mega cities like Saudi NEOM will be an incredible undertaking

Building a mega city like NEOM will be an incredible undertaking, says Brendan Bechtel, CEO of Bechtel Corporation.

Bechtel Corporation is one of the largest engineering companies in the world and responsible for building a significant part of Jubail city 40 years ago.

“Any project of this (NEOM)’s will redefine the scale at which building mega cities are based on. Having to build a world-class city from scratch is an incredible undertaking and it is a big part of why we’re here at the conference,” Bechtel told Al Arabiya during the sidelines of the recent landmark Future Investment Initiative (FII) forum in Riyadh.
