UAE-based Dolphin signs up for Qatari gas

The UAE-based Dolphin Energy Limited and Qatar Petroleum, on Wednesday signed an agreement to supply natural gas, the UAE official news agency WAM reported

The long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement was signed in Doha by the officials of the two companies in the presence of Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan al-Jaber, Minister of State, and CEO of the ADNOC Group, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar.

As per the agreement, Qatar Petroleum will supply additional quantities of LNG to Dolphin for exporting them to the UAE through the offshore pipeline extending between the two countries.

The additional gas under this new agreement will be supplied to Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) and and Ras al-Khaimah Gas Commission, RAK Gas, using the existing UAE eastern gas distribution network in the UAE.
