Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince meets Siemens’ CEO

Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh on Monday CEO of Siemens Joe Kaeser, Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation and investment opportunities in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to realize a more competitive and skilled Saudi labor force.

Siemens is a founding stakeholder of the National Power Academy (NPA) which was established to address the skills requirements across the energy value chain

Siemens is also working closely with Saudi Aramco, Saudi Electricity Company and the Saline Water Conversion Corporation to equip the NPA with technologies, hardware and software applications, as well as curricula.

The partnership is also said to include training and the creation of employment opportunities in line with the company’s requirements.

Additionally earlier this year, Siemens launched Saudi Arabia’s first gas turbine - Siemens Dammam Energy Hub.
