Saudi Aramco to host ‘iktva’ supply chain forum with focus on SMEs

Saudi Aramco will host a forum for key suppliers on Tuesday and Wednesday in the eastern city of Dhahran.

Titled the “iktva SME Forum & Exhibition,” the forum is Saudi Aramco’s principal engagement event with valued suppliers who form our energy sector ecosystem, a statement has read.

Iktva is Saudi Aramco's In-Kingdom Total Value Add initiative, and the forum aims to highlights the importance of “small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in driving value creation and innovation.

“This forum will provide a platform for all companies interested in establishing operations in Saudi Arabia to engage with the Kingdom’s energy sector stakeholders and their key suppliers,” the statement added.

The meeting will share Aramco’s “our vision for the future and outline business opportunities focused on developing an accessible, reliable, and efficient supply chain.

“The objective is to bridge gaps in the energy sector supply chain that fosters the development of competitive industrial clusters. New investment opportunities will be shared for local value creation that broaden the base of goods and services.”

The topics to be covered include: integration of supply chains, knowledge economy, human capital development, access to finance, market access, the legal and regulatory environment, and infrastructure benefits.
