Kuwait reports 485 new coronavirus cases, two deaths

Kuwait reported 485 new coronavirus cases and two virus-related deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 6,289 and the death toll to 42.

Out of 2,219 recoveries, 187 cases recovered in the past 24 hours, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health.

The ministry’s statement also said that 88 people are currently in intensive care units, 48 of whom are in a stable condition while 40 are in a critical condition.

Kuwait imposed a 16-hour curfew from the hours of 5 p.m. to 6 a.m., halted all international flights until further notice, and suspended schools and universities until August.
