Coronavirus: Kuwait reports 900 cases, total now 20,464, 10 new deaths

Kuwait confirmed 900 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths on Saturday, the Ministry of Health said. The total number of cases in the country now stands at 20,464 and the total deaths at 148.

The Ministry also said that 232 coronavirus patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall tally of those recovered to 5,747, according to the Kuna, the official news agency.

The recovered persons will be shifted to the rehabilitation ward in the hospital where they will spend a couple of days before being discharged, the Ministry noted in a press release on Saturday.

On Friday, Kuwait had reported 955 new coronavirus cases, continuing its steep increase in cases over recent days and bringing the total in the country to 19,564.

The statement by the Ministry of Health on Twitter also reported nine new deaths on Friday.
