Coronavirus: Qatar reports 1,740 new cases, continuing trend

Qatar recorded 1,740 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, broadly in line with its recent daily increases, bringing the total to 48,947.

The death toll is 30 after two new deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry added that 1,439 people had recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The statement also said there had been 215 acute hospital admissions.
