Coronavirus: Dubai Airport issues guidelines for travelers as flights set to begin

Dubai’s International Airport (DXB) issued on Thursday a set of guidelines for travelers entering and leaving the country as the United Arab Emirates prepares to allow citizens and residents to travel abroad.

The announcement comes as the UAE begins to ease coronavirus restrictions and permit flights to “low risk” and “moderate risk” countries.

If you’re traveling from DXB’s Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 airport, here are the rules you need to know:

-Only ticket holders will be allowed into the terminal building.

-Passengers arriving more than four hours before their scheduled departure time will not be allowed to enter the terminal building.

-Everyone must wear a face mask and gloves.

-Travelers must have all the correct documents at hand, including any health certificates required by the destination country.

-Travelers must pack according to current airline restrictions.

-Travelers must maintain social distancing measures at all times.

If you are traveling to DXB airport, here’s what you need to know:

-Everyone must wear a face mask and gloves.

-Travelers must have all the correct documents, including the approval reference from the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs allowing them to enter Dubai.

-Travelers must download the DHA COVID-19 DXB smart app from the Apple or Android app store.

-Travelers must maintain social distancing measures at all times.

-Travelers must complete the DHA Health Declaration form.

-Travelers must complete the quarantine agreement form stating that they agree to self-isolate for 14 days.

-Travelers must undergo a mandatory PCR test upon their arrival.

If you are transiting through any of Dubai’s airport terminals, here’s what you need to know:

-Travelers must have all the correct documents, including any health certificates required by their final destination.

-Travelers will undergo thermal screenings and temperature checks.
