Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia records 1,482 new COVID-19 cases, 34 deaths in 24 hours

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,482 new cases of the novel coronavirus, which brings the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 294,514, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

Eighty-six people in the capital Riyadh tested positive for the coronavirus, while 77 people tested positive in Jeddah, and 63 others tested positive in Hail, according to the ministry.

The other new cases were detected in cities and provinces across Saudi Arabia.

Thirty-four people died due to complications caused by COVID-19, bringing the virus-related death toll in the Kingdom to 3,303.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in Saudi Arabia rose to 260,393 after 3,124 people recovered in the last 24 hours.
