Countries across the world have closed borders and halted travel to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, causing airlines to ground their fleets as demand disappears.

The coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, has infected nearly 900,000 people, with over 42,000 dead. There is little indication in how long lockdown procedures will continue across the globe and continue to inhibit air travel.
