Malala Yusufzai launches picture book for children

Nobel Laureate Malala Yusufzai announced that she has received the first copy of her new children’s picture book, on Twitter Thursday evening.

 

According to the book’s synopsis, Malala’s Magic Pencil, aims to show younger audience’s Yusufzai’s worldview “that allowed her to hold on to hope and to make her voice heard even in the most difficult of time.”

Through Malala’s Magic Pencil, kids are encouraged to follow in Yusufzaii's footsteps and continue working hard every day to make their wishes come true.

The book reflects Yusufzai’s story in her own words through visual description, added the synopsis. Its drawings have been brought to life by French illustrates Kerascoët.

The UN peace messenger of peace expressed her excitement for having her mother be the first person to read her book. Yusufzai noted that her mother has been learning English.

 

The 48-page book is categorized under the Juvenile-Fiction genre and published by Puffin. Yusufzai revealed that the book would be available for purchase in October.

She continues to fight for the good of the people and girls’ rights to pursue an education.
