Trump in Saudi Arabia? Impersonator goes viral on social media

A Donald Trump impersonator is taking Saudi Arabia’s social media by storm after a Snapchat story showed the president-elect lookalike visiting a local family, setting for some comedic moments.

The video, which appears to have first been posted on Snapchat, has slowly gained traction on other social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube.

The lookalike Trump says “Assalam Alaikum” – or peace be upon you in English – as he arrived to the tent in a pick-up truck.

Saudi Arabia, among other Arab countries, have taken on what some are calling the “Trump phenomena” to great lengths.

Another recent video making the rounds shows a Gulf poet penning a love letter to Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka, saying she had “controlled all of our hearts before her father took over power”.
