Al-Arabiya’s Bureau Chief in Paris, Hussein Kneiber, was assaulted Sunday by French security forces during his live coverage of the yellow vest protests in the French capital.

Kneiber was reporting live from the field, speaking to Al Arabiya’s Senior Presenter Najwa Kassem, when security forces attacking the protesters to disperse them, approached Al Arabiya’s team, forcefully pushing them aside.

In the live report, Kneiber is heard repeatedly saying “The police is preventing us from filming.”

He also speaks in French to the policemen attacking him, saying: “Do not hit, we have the right to do our job.”

On camera, one of the policemen appears to aggressively push Kneiber shouting out “to the back!” while Kneiber’s voice rises, to alert the forces of his profession.
