Saudi Ministry signs media cooperation agreement with ‘Sputnik’

Turki bin Abdullah al-Shabanah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media, signed on Monday a memorandum of media cooperation with Dmitry Kiselyov, Director -General of Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency ‘Sputnik’, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The memorandum seeks to implement projects designed to develop media coverage as well as objective and professional coverage of various events in the political, economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, sports and other domains in order to enhance the strong rapprochement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.

The agreement includes establishment of official representation headquarters of ‘Sputnik’ in the Kingdom.

The signing ceremony at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh comes on the sidelines of the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s current state visit to the Kingdom.
