Firms delaying hajj flights to face fines: Saudi airport official

Balaari said airlines would be obliged to provide affected passengers with meals.

Director General of King Abdulaziz International Airport Abdulhameed Balaari said airline companies that delay hajj flights would be fined.

He said airlines would be obliged to provide affected passengers with meals.

They will also have to provide their passengers with hotel accommodation if the flights are delayed for more than six hours, he said, adding the airport is working hard to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims as they leave the Kingdom.
