Henry Azzam: private sector blamed for corruption in Arab Spring countries

The private sector in the Arab world was to blame for the corruption that plagued some countries of the Arab Spring, said Henry Azzam Head of the Jordanian Social Security Corporation investment Unit.

Azzam was speaking to Al Arabiya on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum held in Jordan.

He said the private sector needs to take “real efforts” to restore its confidence, adding that economic bubbles are building up in the world due to the low interest rates.

Azzam anticipated today’s new bubbles to burst in the coming two years as a result of the increase in bonds and stock prices.
