Turkish coast guards recaued a 10-month old baby girl in a flotation device as she drifted almost 1 km into sea, reports The Telegraph.

Melda Ilgin was placed peacefully in an inflatable water seat as intense winds began pushing her deep into the water, while her parents were settling in on the beach.

The parents soon realized and began calling for help, which arrived shortly in the form of the Turkish coast guards after several people tried, and failed, to swim to the toddler.

The child was safe and unharmed, and the family, shaken by such an experience, headed home afterwards.
