VIDEO: Panicked passengers scream as Saudi plane hit by turbulence

A passenger on a Saudi plane travelling from the al-Bahah region to Jeddah filmed the moment the jet was hit by severe turbulence.

Passengers are heard screaming and praying as the shaky footage shows the plane – from a window – entering a cluster of clouds.

Inside the cabin, panic ensues, but it only lasts a few moments as the aircraft appears to pass the turbulent area swiftly.

It is not clear when the incident occurred, but the video has been shared widely online in the past week.
