Eight Saudi soldiers sat to rest after they carried out an advanced operation in Jazan, near the Saudi-Yemeni border.
In a video obtained by Al Arabiya, the soldiers can be seen in high spirits following their victory as they accomplished a task which was planned by commanders in the joint operations’ room of Saudi forces.
The soldiers set a military ambush after members from the Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh tried to cross the Saudi borders. Saudi soldiers from the infantry division confronted them and killed at least nine of them while the others fled.
This is not the first time that Saudi forces carry out such advanced operations on the Saudi borders. They have carried out other operations in Yemen, aided by Arab coalition forces. They have been able to perform these operations thanks to the well-trained personnel, which consists of paratroopers and special units’ forces, infantry and navy forces and air force rescue units. These forces, which are also equipped with advanced armament and technologies, work on saving civilians from armed groups.
