Hariri asked Dina Drawish, a girl sitting among the audience, to come onto the stage after delivering his speech.

He read an emotional poem recorded on his mobile phone by poet Bilal al-Meer. Hariri then asked Dina what she thinks of Meer’s marriage proposal in the poem, written specially for her.

She started nodding her head in acceptance.

Bilal al-Meer then kissed, embraced her and kneeled to put a ring on her finger.

Saad Hariri reappeared, and said: “Anyone else wants to get married?”
