VIDEO: Dramatic moment elephants rescue their baby from a pool

Dramatic CCTV footage caught two adult elephants rescuing a baby elephant from drowning in a swimming pool at the Grand Park Zoo in Seoul, South Korea, last week.

The video shows the elephant calf playing in the water next to one of the adult elephants. Suddenly, the calf falls into the pool.
Another adult elephant then runs to the area and walks into the pool in an attempt to rescue the calf with another adult elephant.

Fortunately, there was no cause for concern as the baby elephant was apparently in no imminent danger, according to one expert who spoke to the National Geographic.

“Elephants are drama queens, especially the females. If anything kind of dramatic happens in the family, it is cause for great excitement,” Joyce Poole, an and co-founder of ElephantVoices, told National Geographic.
