Dubai Police is to develop self-driving police vehicles in collaboration with a company in Singapore.

The monitors are set to be on display at the next Gitex exhibition.

First lieutenant Salim Al Marri said that the self-driving vehicles will feature cameras that connect to Dubai Police headquarters “to show live footage of what’s going on in the city’s streets.”

Al Marri added that sensors to identify suspects, places or damaged vehicles will also be part of the vehicle’s equipment.
