This episode of "Death Making" dicusses targeting public institutions' employees and security forces in Egypt. The attacks on security forces began before president Mohamed Mursi was toppled and it increased after toppling him. What can be noted is that most of the police officers targeted have served in the state security sector and were killed by machineguns (all except for the assassination attempt against the interior minister as it was a suicide bombing operation.) Most operations were claimed by Ansar Beit al-Maqdes. There are no operations which targeted senior civil servants or media figures. There was one attempt against a judge participating in Mursi's trial and one of the judge's bodyguards was killed.
