Friday, 18 March 2016
This week’s guest is Dr. Necmettin Karim, Kirkuk governor and member of the Political Bureau of the “Patriotic Union of Kurdistan” party. He said that if there was a need to resort to the “popular mobilization”, it will be asked from the prime minister, adding that “no force will enter into the province of Kirkuk without our demand”. The governor reiterated that the “Peshmerga” forces and the police prevented ISIS from entering Kirkuk. He also said that the “Peshmerga” will be reluctant to go into any Arab region in Iraq. Regarding the repercussions of lower oil prices, he said that this has led to the non-payment of the employees’ salaries in the Kurdistan region in Iraq.
