Friday, 20 May 2016
This week’s guest is Dr. Bassem Awadallah, Jordanian envoy to Saudi Arabia and former Minister of Planning, who is described as the architect of the “Saudi Coordination Council of Jordan,” which establishes a partnership between the two countries on the political, economic and security levels. He says that this council is the outcome of the Saudi efforts to build sustainable partnerships with neighboring countries, saying that the era of support and grants is gone now and got replaced by partnerships. He pointed out that the Jordanian economy is facing many difficulties and that the refugees have increased the burden on the country.
