Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is visiting Pakistan for important bilateral and strategic talks as he kicks off an Asian tour that will see him visit China and Japan next.
In Pakistan, the Saudi royal met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on talks that cenetered on security issues.
Regional and international topics were also discussed, among them the situations in Syria and Yemen. Another topic of discussion was on the joint Islamic Military Alliance, of which Pakistan is a part of.
“It has been very enduring over the last several decades. Practically all the previous governments, especially Nawaz Sharif’s, have been supportive of close and strategic ties with Saudi Arabia,” Pakistani analyst Talat Masood told Al Arabiya News Channel.
